The Omnium Cargo bike was made to move and built to carry. Every model has endless potential, and the strength to live up to it. What or who you choose to carry on your bike is entirely up to you. However, Omnium Cargo can in no way be held responsible for any damage done to people, animals or items, as a result of accidents during transportation. Neither is Omnium Cargo responsible for any injuries sustained by the rider, as a result of an accident during the transportation of cargo on the bike. Making sure that people, animals or items are safely fastened to the rack, is entirely the responsibility of the owner or the rider of the bike.
We highly recommend that you familiarise yourself with the maximum loading weight for your model of bike, which can be found on our website. And we suggest you stay well below it. Just because your bike can carry it, doesn’t mean you can. Carrying heavy loads takes practice, and we recommend that no one carry more than they feel completely safe with. Always make sure you have complete control of the bike before moving into traffic, and make sure that a bump in the road won’t throw your cargo off the rack. There is no feeling worse than seeing your neatly packed load thrown all over the street.
There are many ways of securing a load to the rack. One which many prefer is using old tubes. Skinny tubes are good for stretching over big loads, fat tubes are less flexible but hold the cargo tighter. Check your LBS for used tubes. It’s cheap and great recycling.
Bags and boxes designed specifically for the cargo rack are another great solution. They come in many shapes and sizes. Beware that the rules for transportation of cargo and people by bike are different from country to country. It is solely the responsibility of the owner or rider of the bike to learn and follow these rules, and Omnium Cargo cannot be held responsible for anyone who fails to do so.

Example of such events are government action or omission, new or amended legislation, conflict, embargo, fire or flood, sabotage, accident, war, natural disasters, strikes or lack of delivery from suppliers. The force majeure also includes government decisions that affect the market negatively and products, for example, restrictions, warnings, ban, etc.
